Two For His Heels are Alan Williams and Dave Leach - a couple of Liverpool musicians who made it to their forties and decided that they'd like to get out and do some playing again. Of course, one of the hardest things about forming a band is to decide on a name. One evening, during a game of crib at the local pub, the subject of the name came up yet again. At that moment, the dealer turned over the jack of diamonds to place on top of the "box" and the rest, as they say, is history. If you can't play crib, turning over a jack earns you two points - known as "two for his heels". Don't confuse this with "one for his nob" - a quite different proposition and more importantly, a useless name when there are two of you.

Two For His Heels are currently playing in the folk circuit around the North West of England, mainly within easy reach of their home town of Liverpool. If you want to know when they next plan to be in your area, ask them (via email) and they'll let you know. Of course, they'll be even more pleased to hear from you if you want to book them to play at your venue!
